For a relatively small fee, some realtors offer a limited representation listing. This is often called a flat listing. Essentially, what you get is your house listed on RMLS, which in turn makes it accessible from Realtor.com.
In my opinion, if you’re going to sell your home “by owner”, you’d be wise to use a flat-fee listing. Lots of non-realtors search the Internet for properties. If you sell to them, you pay no commission. And, if you’ll agree to pay a buyer’s agent’s commission, you’ll get realtors showing your property. There are over 1,000 realtors in Lane County. Why not let them work for you.
